This course will cover several essential hand sewing techniques used in costume shops, backstage, and on set. Correct setting and application of closures for regular wear and quick rigging techniques. The primary hand stitches, some basic mending practices, and finishing details will be included. This workshop will include demonstrations as well as mentored practice time in small groups for all participants.
